Reception: RBW 2021 -2022
Our teaching team in Reception is Miss Brunwin (Tuesday - Friday), Miss Wylie (Monday) and Miss Garrett (Monday - Friday). We are also supported by Mrs Alchbib and Mrs Legg at various points during the week.
This half term, we are delighted to be introducing Adventure School into our weekly timetable. Please see the rota outside the classroom - we always are incredibly grateful for adult support with this fantastic activity. Phonics
We teach phonics in a very specific way, introducing different letters and sounds in a particular order. Each has its own action to help children to remember the sound. You have probably seen many of these in action already at home!
In the videos below, Miss Brunwin demonstrates each sound and the action that goes with it.
Please continue to use the Tricky Teddies for those words which are not phonetically-spelled, and the Pips to practise the different sounds. If in doubt - please ask!
