Information
We aim to work closely with all our parents and carers. Staff are available on the playground at the start and end of each day for those important ‘catch ups’. A close partnership between parents/carers, the school and your child is essential to a happy, successful primary school experience – please do keep in touch!
You will find links to helpful and all our Statutory Information on this page.
If you require further information, do not hesitate to get in touch with our school office - we're here to help!
Times of day
For the School (see below for Nursery-aged children)
Morning session: 8.50am – 12.15pm
Morning break KS1: 10.15 - 10.30am
Morning break KS2: 10.40– 10.55am
Lunch: 12.15 – 1.15pm
Afternoon session: 1.15 – 3.30pm
The playground gate opens between 8.40/8.45am and we ask that everyone has arrived in time to be in class for registration at 8.50am. We encourage parents to take their child straight to Reception and Year 1 until your child is confident to go in by themselves.
At the end of the school day, to ensure children’s safety, children in Recpetion, Year 1 and Year 2 are handed over to a parent/carer – please let us know if this is going to be someone different to usual. Parents/carers of children in Key Stage 2 should wait in the playground.
Because our gates are single-width, it is helpful if everyone can enter by the main playground gate and leave by the Y1 area gate. This avoids congestion in the narrow gateways and on the pavements.
Governor-Run Pre-School
Nursery-aged children (3 and 4 year olds) have slightly different session times:
Morning session: 8.50am - 12noon
Afternoon session: 12.15 - 3.25pm
Whole day: 8.50am - 3.25pm
In the mornings, please come in through the main gate. At other times, please come in through the Admin Office Reception.
Collective Worship
Each day we hold an act of Collective Worship. Each week we will follow a theme and hold our Worship both as a whole school, within classes and every Friday as a Celebration Worship at Holy Trinity Church when families are invited to join us for Collective Worship followed by our celebration certificates. Star of the Week awards are given each Friday – we will let you know when your child will be receiving an award. Members of the clergy at Holy Trinity join us regularly and lead one of our Collective Worships each week. Information about our weekly theme is shared in our newsletters.
Parking
We have no onsite parking and no vehicular access to the school site. There are public car parks in the centre of Exmouth and there is some on-street parking in roads nearby.
Please do not park, drop-off, pick-up or wait, on the double yellow lines that surround our school site – this is not safe for our children and causes traffic congestion.
